Before/After - Breast Reconstruction

The patient is a 40 year-old female that presented to Dr. Silverman’s office in Poughkeepsie, New York with a strong family history of breast cancer. She had had 3 previous lumpectomies and had a genetic mutation. Her bra size was 36D. She decided to undergo bilateral prophylactic mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. She underwent bilateral direct to permanent implant (560cc) in a retropectoral fashion. She is very happy with her appearance.

The patient is a 32 year old female that presented to Dr. Silverman’s office in Poughkeepsie, New York that tested positive for BRCA 2 mutation. She has a strong family history of breast cancer. Her bra size was 32A. She decided to undergo bilateral prophylactic mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. She underwent bilateral direct to permanent implant (365cc) in a prepectoral fashion. Her current bra size is 32D. She is very happy with her appearance.
